Gemscale Troubleshooting

Symptom

The display jumps from one reading to the next without stabilizing, but without any clear direction. You might also see excessive dashes. Sometimes it looks like static. But it doesn't go away with anti-static spray.

Diagnosis

We call this Jitter. It doesn't happen frequently, but when it does, it can be quite difficult to debug. Try a stabler table. Feel for vibrations. Try closing the draftshield. Just as a test, try putting the scale on the floor to see if it is still jittery.

Solution

If the jitter won't go away, you must return it to us for inspection and analysis.
